Principles / truths

Clients best served by Managerial Design believe or come to believe the following principles:

  1. Change must be owned and led by line management – staff can be enablers.
  2. An organized approach to change will always win out over an unorganized ad hoc approach. Disciplined, rigorous execution is required.
  3. The answers to the most important issues can be found within your organization; what's missing is an effective, efficient process and facilitation (to guide the way).
  4. Achieving commitment to solutions is more important than striving for elegance.
  5. Teams should be used in decision-making if the best solution to an issue is not known or not clear – or a high degree of buy-in and commitment to implement is required.
  6. Highly skilled facilitation improves the efficiency and effectiveness of decision-making.
  7. Decisions should be supported with data and information.
  8. Always find the balance between task requirements and relationship dynamics.
