Exceeding goals through change and upheaval.

Rolls-Royce Canada

Rolls-Royce Canada Limited's goal is to be the most proficient civil and military engine repair and overhaul facility in North America for both the private commercial and public sectors. The Canadian division of Rolls-Royce North America is also engaged in worldwide R&D for the energy sector, with new production assembly and testing. Rolls Royce employs over 1,600 people in Montreal.

In 1999, the management team led by new President, Pierre Racine, determined that a dramatic re-visioning and performance overhaul was required to achieve aggressive profitability gains. Shortly after implementing that new vision, deploying it into the organization, and even through the industry upheaval caused by the 9/11 tragedy, the management team exceeded its goals.

Pierre was first introduced to Managerial Design in 1996 while engaged as President of Ferranti-Packard, another Rolls-Royce division.
